Your spare time?
This came up in conversation with a buddy. We tend to have rambling conversations which can cover all sorts of topics, and this is one I thought I would share. What do you do most with your spare time?
I know I tend to listen to music. Granted, I can listen to music nearly all of the time no matter what task I might be doing. But at times I'll turn on some music and just space out. Let my mind wander where it may. I also tend to read a lot, which is followed by movies / anime. I'll admit that I should exorcise, but I don't. That's something I'm trying to fix. Heh.
Why do I space out to music a lot? I enjoy music - if I had the money for a drum set I would still be playing it, to boot. I can have everything from death metal to symphonic orchestra in the same playlist. I think the other things I do are self-explanatory. Everyone likes to escape their own reality from time to time.
I thought I'd bring the question here. Explain why you do it, if you wish.

I loves to read. I have almost an entire library. Worlds you could never go to and people you could never meet, all in between the front and back covers. Action, adventure... and sometimes love. What's not to like?
Wow, I'm surprised I missed video games. Oh well, that's why I included the catch-all option. The really sad part is I had just finished playing a computer game when I originally posted - yet it slipped my mind.
As far as reading, what do you find yourself reading most? Is there a specific author you follow? I know I tend to follow a series rather than an author (such as the Dune series) but there are a few exceptions. A couple authors that spring to mind are Raymond Feist and Heinlein.

Well, I liked Dune but didn't like the ones after so much. And I absolutely loathe what his son and that hack Anderson did with their prequels. Ugh.
I just finished the Twilight series (a guilty pleasure), am reading a Jedi Twilight novel (pretty cool), and am getting ready to read the Vampire Academy books with my sister in law (seems to be good).
Ender's game and the parallel sequels (about Bean). Ender in Exile. Didn't like Speaker for the Dead or Children of the Mind. I just got a new trilogy from my wife about an assassin. I'll let you know how that one is.
