After reading the preview of ep25, I'm really hoping this isnt gonna end in a "lets kill everyone" kinda ending.

That would kinda suck.

I actually went to Wiki to read the spoiler after what you said. I dont know what to say, looks like we could be going for a "Kill them all" ending.

I really hope not.

It looks like its going to be a decimate the civilian population for sure ending as well if this keeps up.

Right well I just watched it and if that is what is called an anime death these days the level of overkill is slipping heavily. I mean come on you didnt even see said character die just some pretty fireworks and lights.

**Potential Speculative Spoilers**

Here's hoping for:

Alto survives the explosion via jettisoning from his fighter
SMS scoops him up and allows him to return to his VF-25
Sheryl gets word that Alto survives and is returning to the fight
This cheers Sheryl up and allows her to...
Continue the singing battle against Ranka
Brera snaps out of his trance and is able to briefly "wake up" Ranka.
Reveals that they are siblings and share a brief moment before...
Alto taking Brera's VF-27 out of commission (Not destroying)
Message gets to SMS that Grace is manipulating Ranka to her own gain.
SMS turns to Attack Grace (some how) allows the hold on Ranka to release
The Vajra are now used against Grace thanks to Ranka.
Meanwhile, Sheryl is going through a coughing spat and cannot sing. She Discovers blood in her mouth and passes out...
Big final fight occurs here SMS/Vajra vs Battle Frontier
SMS wins... Vajra are some how forced to stop fighting
Battle Frontier is boarded and Leon is arrested, he ends up committing suicide by disarming Kathy and putting a bullet through his head with her gun.
Luca discovers that the V-type infection actually has a 75% chance of not being terminal after all. Its discovered, after reexamining her, that Sheryl is actually suffering from Mild Hemoptysis and the common cold. The medication that Grace was giving her was making the cold persist. She is cured immediately(Nano machines?).

Alto finally chooses, who he wants to be with... Its Klan. (I'm serious)

In all reality... He chooses to return to his Father's side and do one final Kabuki show before his dad passes away. Because of this Sheryl stays by his side and she finally reveals her feelings. Alto finally accepts this. Ranka, chooses to remain with the Vajra and not stay with the survivors of Frontier on their new home. It is noted that the Vajra are really peaceful creatures forced into battle with the loss of their original queen. Ranka takes place of her mother and chooses to live with them and her Brother. They leave the planet to find a new home.

It is announced that the story of Alto and Sheryl will be continued on their new home world... With a new threat of course. Due the the popularity of the show, They will either do a second season of 25 more episodes or a 5 episode OVA and a movie(A la Macross Plus).

Now this is all my ideal wrap up of course...

I almost 100% agree with the SMS picking Alto up bit, the fact that you only saw his VF blow up from a distance and there was no clear character death screams there is a "Goku Surprise" in story for the bad guys.

As for Sheryl, since its a V-type infection there is some pixie power behind the idea of Ranka curing it, which would mean Alto has a happy ending and IQ dont cry when Sherly bites it either, if Ranka knows whats good for her that is

I do however predict a biblical sized pain train which next stop is Grace Land, population 1.

I'll be very honest. I have to download the last couple of episodes and then I'll put them on DVD and watch them. I know, I know. It's pretty lame that I haven't even seen the first episode yet. But I'll be getting caught up soon. I promise.

lol Kosh, me cry? pfft I will still burn Ranka's little doll tho... I have the pyre ready! mwuhahaha! In my opinion, Aruto does not die, Sheryl may have a fighting chance but if not, that kiss scene will give her something to remember in her last moments.

Grace aka Arnie "hasta la vista" terminator, cracks me up and I am still trying to ffigure out if Brera will survive to protect his annoying little sister during the last battle

And Klan will not die! is it just me or those were huge glasses she was holding in ep. 24? they seemed a bit oversized to be Michel's (or any other human for that matter).

Moving slightly in a different direction, I think I have confirmation on Sheryl Nome's last name:

"Also, it’s finally confirmed that Sheryl is a true Nome, and she is Mao’s grand-daughter. Of course, that also leaves the question of how she ended up in the trash alleys of Galaxy unanswered."

You got to love Omni for that announcement.

I was actually hoping for an extra season block, similar to what they did with Gundam 00, but a Movie may actually be better!

This story however is in no way done, hence the movie announcement and I've seen a spattering of rumors that Satellite is looking for another 25 episodes. I cannot confirm this anywhere, so here is hoping.

And the pain train definitely came for someone but I highly doubt they would give up THAT easily (A LA Ghost in the Shell Puppetmaster).

All in all an awesome series!

Now that this is done. I'm converting all of the episodes and burning them to DVD.

lol I have to agree, especially seeing as there were multiple voices going on in Grace's head, and it seemed to me that they were actually elsewhere at the time. Besides, what better time to start chaos? They've settled on a planet, and then get attacked? God, I hope they make another season.

All in all, I loved it. Pure awesome. I'm with Flare, I think I need a cigarette.

I was in tears for most of episode 25. i especially liked the credits when they had Ranka since do you remember love. My fear for the movie tho is its just gona be like the other movies where you go "uh wait you left this out!!!" My hope for it is its gona be more like the Macross7 movie where it shows origional content.

So I managed to catch up to the end of the season.... and wow.

Just.... wow.

Best Macross to date. Evar.
