GM in need of players for a new campaign!

This particular "Tales From Deep Space" campaign will follow the exploits of SVQ-97 "Tophatters;" a UNS Signal Intelligence Wing charged with providing forward reconnaissance and intelligence for the 8th Galaxy Patrol Fleet stationed at the edge of UN controlled space. The squadron will be stationed aboard the UNS Skipjack, a Sentinel-class stealth carrier. As the Skipjack's sole fighter wing, the Tophatters will be dispatched with her throughout the galaxy, supporting the 8th GP fleet as well as other UNS mandated missions.

At present, there are three player-character openings remaining in this six-person squad. All characters must be VF pilots, but diverse character backgrounds and skills are encouraged. After an abortive first attempt, the Tophatters story has been revised and is now ready for a second chance. As such, I need to see if there are five players interested in joining the campaign. The general premise remains the same; so I will be looking for four VF pilots and one UNSAF Electronic Warfare Specialist (character template can be found here.)

The game threads that have gone before will be part of the story continuity, as will all of the original background information. Interested parties can review that information on the Tophatters board.

Any questions or expressions of interest may be posted here, the Tophatters OOC thread or via PM. All character creation and approval will take place via PM. All players are welcome, as are previously existing characters not currently in an active story line (so long as they're in the basic early Rally Cry timeline.)

Count me in if your still looking. I got a char sitting on the back burner for Black widows thats not going anywhere. Winter Scott.

As per our email, I'll jazz up a character this weekend for the EW specialist role.

Recruitment for this game isn't closed, but given that the squad is only down one player position, I'm going to move toward getting started. If those players that have expressed their interest in the game will please move to the Tophatters board OOC thread, we can get started.

In the meantime, one VF pilot position is open for the foreseeable future in the squad.

I haven't graduated Beninghill hill yet but when I do I would be interested.

inix88: If the Birds of Prey really are over with, you're welcome to join the squad. It sounds like Araruin might like to keep the squad together, though, under a new system. We'll wait and see where you want to go depending on what happens.

Abzerosteel: I've only given inix88 first dibs because he's ready to go, and you're still on the 'Hill. If inix88 changes his mind and no other post 'Hill players step forward, the slot will be yours when you graduate.

I would like to transfer Henry Chinaski into the squad. As far as the Birds go, if they switch to a new system I would prefer to roll a new character in that system. Chinaski is a palladium macross character. I would like the chance to play with araruin as a fellow player- I have never had that chance.
