"October 2012 marks the 30th anniversary of the debut of seminal space war/transforming jet-robot/idol singer anime The Super Dimension Fortress Macross. In honor of the occasion, the original series will be collected in a Blu-ray box set, scheduled to be released in Japan on May 25. Beyond that, a new www.macross30.com site is teasing something more.
The site offers a pair of silhouettes for clues. Some fans have speculated that the project will be related to the story's unaccounted-for 29th Super Long-Distance Colonization Fleet."
