Still alive!

Married just as the virus lockdowns went into effect. No kids yet but damn, covid weight gain sucks! Potential change in career coming. May consider moving out of California to a friendlier state like Texas.

Picking up the essentials before the lockdown, I see.

I am from Texas. I have been all over it. Given that it is the size of a medium country, the various locations are all different experiences. The Northern part ranging from the panhandle to over around Dallas in a good place. That's where all of the friendly people live. If you enjoy receiving greetings and well-wishes from random strangers walking down the street, then that is the part that you want to be in.

Good to know. We've been eyeing Fort Worth as a landing spot. We'll see how the next couple of years go!

Fort Worth is pretty great. I lived most of my life about forty minutes North of there. Average rent for FW is around $1.1K, but if you go about ten minutes outside of the city, you can get the same for about three hundred cheaper. So, that is something to keep in mind if you decide to move to the area.
