Pilot O.C.C. (Space Fighter/Shuttle Pilot – Space War One Era)

The UN used several different types of fighter and shuttlecraft in space during the Space War One. Their pilots used them to defend the fleet, observation and to transport personnel.

Uniform:

These pilots wore a standard pilot’s space helmet with the standard pilot’s space suit. Colors wore was the standard green and blue over white.

Pre-requisite Requirements

I.Q. 8 and P.P. 9 or higher were preferred.

Additional Requirements:

This O.C.C was intended for Officers with degrees only but on the Macross during the Space War One selection and training time was greatly reduced. No college degree or even a high school diploma was required for newly enlisted pilots. Only an aptitude for flying was required. Training was reduced to several months and conducted on board the ship. After training the recruit would be promoted to Sergeant (E-4) or Staff Sergeant (E-5) if they had some form of flight training before enlisting. Those with some college education were commissioned as Second Lieutenants (0-1). This O.C.C. was generally not open to women during the Space War One.

Wages, Rank & Experience A UN Armed Forces Space Fighter/Shuttle pilot will make a starting wage of 2000 credits per month. VF Fighter Pilots start at a rank of 2nd Lieutenant. The VF Pilot uses the Variable Fighter Pilot Experience Table for Experience Levels.
