First of all, thanks to everyone for taking the time out to read this, I'll try and be as brief as possible (hell yeah like I'm ever concise ).
First of, if you look at my last post in this thread, you'll find the straw that broke the camel's back, metaphorically speaking of course:
http://boards.macrossrpg.com/viewtopic. ... tart=25&39
Basically, I need to scale back what I'm doing or run the risk of simply having to drop out entirely, my posting load is currently not realistic. Thus I will be taking the following steps to reduce what I'm doing and hopefully improve on the quality of what I have left:
Staff Training: From this point onwards, I will no longer be the Staff Trainer here at the MRC. The CST program is far from dead, but I just haven't got the time to write new classes nor to mark the sizeable number of lengthy, well crafted answers I've been getting.
It's been a real honour working with some of the best players here and I am still around to offer whatever advice and assistance I can, and also to recommend people for the program if possible. The Staff are currently discussing changes to the program, which will be announced as soon as they are finalised.
Knights Miscellania: I haven't been able to maintain the 2 posts per week schedule that most Beginhill classes should be running at. Any CST is free to approach me with a view to taking the game over and running it through to conclusion, I will continue to GM it to the best of my ability until this changeover can happen.
Character Adoption: I've decided to place one of my characters up for adoption, and if any player wishes to take over the character, he or she will need to contact myself and Rannilas, the GM of the Bloodhounds to OK it. Amanda has around a year and a half of time as a player character, and longer as an NPC, she's appeared in the Jade Ospreys thread as well as the Bloodhounds. The character sheet is linked below.

So my thanks once again for reading this, and I hope this will revitalise the rest of my gaming here and allow me to continue to game her for the forseeable future.

I'm just glad it wasn't anything akin to what happened to you and your girlfriend not too long ago. CR, I admire you ambition of taking on so much here, and I also admire you ability to know that you've taken on too much. I don't think a person on here will begrudge you taking a little away so that you can have some 'reality'. Take care, ok?

Completely understandable. I always wondered how you handled so much responsibilty. Frankly I'm relieved to see that you've decided to cut back a little bit.
Remember this place is supposed to be fun, not hard work.

Ah Staff Load Burn Out. Suffered by many of us such as Cobalt. Seeing him burn out was a good sign too me that I should scale back. I knew only a matter of time before it hit you as well. I'm still waiting for it to hit Apeman and Araruin.
Let this be a warning to the rest of you. Don't do more than what you can handle or want to handle. First you join the site wanting to play and eventually GM. I advise that once anyone gets the GM assignment that they want to JUST STOP RIGHT THERE!
You may hear about other squadrons needing GMs or someone needed to staff blank or blank. Don't volunteer for everything that is out there. Yes you care about the MRC (or whatever site/Game etc) and want to help but it is more easier to agree to take on more task than it is too do them. Your own characters and your favorite squadron to GM will start to suffer. Once an outside problem hits, you won't be to keep up. If are keeping up than you're just going through the motions and it's no longer fun.
This might sound greedy but do things for the fun only.

You haven't been keeping up on current events, have you, JJ? As you already know, I've stopped playing in the Nightspiders, limiting myself to one post per week for all the threads I play or GM in, stepped down from actively running the Joining Board AND only work on stats when I have time (which isn't a lot these days.)
Preemptive reductions!
However, I TOTALLY agree with JJ. I've seen many a player who has too many characters then they can handle, they don't properly read the other players' and (most importantly!) GM's posts, and their posts are stupid one-liners that do not fit into the ever-evolving game. And that's before they are even accepted into CST training! (Yes, you know who you are.)
Remember: the number one key to enjoyment here is quality, not quantity.

I'd go a step further and leave it at "can handle". "Want to handle" is what got CR in trouble (IMO). He wants to be involved in every fun game and wants to be a leader for the community and wants to train future GMs and wants to GM at the Beginhill plus two other games, and wants to do all these things at another game community as well.
I want to do all those things too, but have limited myself to a simple rule that I wish more people adhered to: Play only ONE PC, and GM only ONE game. Right now there's a little over-lap as the Lizards is coming to a close and the Wolves will be starting full swing afterwards, but if everyone gave up all their "wants" and stuck to 1 PC and GMing 1 game things would be better off.
And as Apeman pointed out, I'd rather people focus on few responsibilities and do them well than a bunch of half-assed posting because they have soooo many characters and responsibilities to meet. That's fun for nobody.

I haven't got my burn out yet, but I don't get to post much at the moment. I'm looking forward to a full return in another week or two.
Back to the burnout issue. Sensing the potential, I dropped the Salamanders, which I feel bad about because they died off. I also got a Q-GM to handle the Golden Dragons, and I asked for some assistance from other GMs with some of my other games just to keep them going with a slightly smaller effort from me. When I can squeeze out another fully trained Q-GM, I have another position available for him. I'm definately keeping an eye on my workload, but it has become easier recently.
Good call cutting back, CR. Glad you finally took my advice. All that work is just too much for one man, unless it's me.

Actually this is something I agree with entirely with JJ for once in a long, long while.
We have a very high rate of burnout here unfortinatly, even myself from time to time. I really wish I had a good answer for it, but I'm extremely pleased with the way CR's handling it by being up front, having warned us in his running thread, and then gave us a bit of a plan for what we needed to do.
Thanks CR, and I hope things work out over the next few months. I know from experiance that things normally get worse from this phase up through the holidays because of added stress, but with your unexpected room mates gone, things should get a little better.

Well I hope you'll stay around for the angels I like having you around. Also if it does not slow down the game i don't mind slow posting (Gives me time to think)
If you are unable though it is quite understandable... Life Comes before game... Always

Well cutting back as I've already indicated should mean that I can keep pace with the rest of the games I'm in, as I'm enjoying games such as the Angels immensly

I've posted my plan for Ganymede now, hopefully everyone's spotted it by now, but it isn't my intention to stop the game.
