His mother died at childbirth when Elena was born and since early age, he had to endure the loss of a loved one. Even after all these years, the pain of losing his mother had never left him. Unfortunately, his father was unable to fulfil the void their mother left behind and focused on his business to escape the reality of having 3 young children to look after. The busy schedule of their father meant he rarely spent time with his children and sent them to boarding school away from home. During this time, he met a much older engineer by the name of Lily, and although things seemed good, he discovered that his rather overzealous brother was screwing her behind his back. After dumping her and severing ties to his brother, Spike told his family what he was doing.
Even after their protests, Frenir kept going with SMS and his relationship with his parents have been strained since then. The only one that still maintains peaceful open contact with him is his sister, Kari.

Just before he was due to graduate, Fenrir discovered this Lilly was sleeping with his brother on the side, and almost decided to bucket joining up for SMS all together. However, since the last few years of his life was building up to that moment, not to mention that if he stayed with his family, he would have to keep looking at his brothers face.
So when the flyer came into his hand, he took it, read it and signed the papers as fast as he could. He took one evening to tell his parents about his choice and although they shouted and roared, they could not break his contract for him. Defiantly, he stepped towards a new life.
Now the only one of his family who speaks to him is his alien sister, Kari. His mother likewise tries to show her distaste through a side of concern, but his father is not responding as well. He hopes that after a tour, he will be able to reconnect with his parents. Otherwise, he just wants to get away from it all, even if Lilly is on tour somewhere.
