One of the main symptoms of The Big Bad is not being able to pick up scents. Take a whiff of an open bottle of mustard. If you can smell it then you probably have a regular cold. Still get tested for sure, but this could put your mind at ease between now and then.

That's a good sign. Maybe it will turn out to be one of those common twenty-four bugs and you'll wake up tomorrow and it'll just be gone.

I tested positive and did not lose my sense of smell or taste. So that is not a guaranteed sign of COVID but a major one if it happens. So good luck.

Canceling a test because it was a bad and getting a different one... Man, the me from my school days wishes that he had known that was an option.

Update- took the test today. Fever is almost gone. However, the Covid Supplemental Program for California expired 12/31/2020. So I will have to try to get unemployment to make up for it.
