Due to the flooding in the midwest, I will have sporadic connection to the internet as we recover from the flooding in the basement.
We're very, very lucky in where the house I'm living in sits. It's right on the top of a hill; most of the floodwaters which headed our way split and went right around the house. We've got a minor leakage in the basement, but it'll be sitting for a few days, so we expect to have a few inches to a few feet in there when we get back.
blegh.... I'm sick of water. Stale, stagnant, stanky water...
We've pumped that basement for 4 days, and it keeps going back up. Only yesterday were we able to start pulling junk out. That's going to take another week or so to sort out.
