BACKGROUND

The Gjagravan Va is a relatively recent addition to the Anti-UN arsenal. Its first appearance was around mid-2049 and its numbers are currently (as of 2050) considered to be low. The Gjagravan Va is a large weapons platform used by the Anti-UN for urban combat. Despite its large and cumbersome looking appearance, it is extremely agile and deadly. It is capable of engaging a multiple of attackers, both on the ground and in the air, with great success. Its heavy firepower and agility allow the land weapon to routinely run circles around the obsolute Destroids that the UN Armed Forces still heavily rely upon for ground operations.

Customer: Anti-UN.
Design Features: 4 legs ending in a thruster and magnet equipped foot – for maneuverability and being able to walk on the outer surface of ships in space. The rear missile launcher has a retractable hatch. Next to the cannon on the upper front of the vehicle is the cockpit. On the opposite side of the front is a rotatable beam weapon. Along the front is a quartet of veneer thrusters. Three powerful engines, for mobility in space, are mounted on the hips of the rear legs.

NOTES:

¹ Destroying the sensor eye of the Gjagravan Va will knock out the Mobile Weapon's main visual sensor systems. Radar and communications will be unaffected. The sensor eye is a very difficult target to hit, however: -4 to strike in addition to velocity penalties. The sensor eye is very difficult to hit. –5 to strike in addition to velocity penalties.
² Depleting the MDC of the main body will destroy the Mobile Weapon and probably kill the crew.
³ Each engine nozzle destroyed reduces the top speed of the Gjagravan Va by 12% (residual 20% of (space) flying speed comes from veneer thrusters.) If all of the engine nozzles are destroyed while the Annabella Lasiodora is in a gravity, it will crash.
*: Destroying one engine block will reduce the Gjagravan Va’s top flying speed to 50%. If both are destroyed, the Gjagravan Va can only fly in space at 20% speed, via veneer thrusters. In a gravity, the mobile weapon will fall towards the gravity center.

1. HEAVY PARTICLE CANNON:

Mounted on the right side of the front of the Gjagravan Va is the mobile weapon’s main armament. This heavy particle cannon is capable of firing in a 90º arc forward and over the mobile weapon and a 30º firing arc to the left and right.

  • PRIMARY PURPOSE: Heavy Assault
  • SECONDARY PURPOSE: Anti-mecha
  • RANGE: 3,330 m
  • DAMAGE: 6D6x10+50 M.D.
  • RATE OF FIRE: the cannon can fire up to two times per melee
  • PAYLOAD: Unlimited.

2. MEDIUM RANGE HIGH MANEUVERABILITY MISSILE LAUNCHERS:

Mounted on the rear top of the Gjagravan Va is a large medium range missile launcher designed for a specialized all-purpose high maneuverability missile. The missile launcher can rotate 360º and has an armoured hatch that slides out of the way over the top of the launcher.

  • PRIMARY PURPOSE: Ant-aircraft.
  • SECONDARY PURPOSE: Anti-mecha.
  • MISSILE TYPE: High-Maneuverability Medium Range Missiles. Note: these are slightly different from the UN Armed Forces type. They have 3/4 the range but are excellent at armour penetrating.
  • MEGA-DAMAGE: 5D6x10 M.D.
  • RANGE: 96.5 Km
  • RATE OF FIRE: Volleys of 1 to 30; though usually the Gjagravan Va fires only volleys of 1 to 4 to conserve missiles.
  • PAYLOAD: 30.


3. VULCAN LASER GUN TURRET:

Mounted on the chin of the Gjagravan Va is a vulcan laser turret. The laser turret is capable of firing in a 90º vertical arc and a 360º horizontal arc (though care must be taken not to shoot out its own legs!) The weapon has a tremendous rate of fire.

  • PRIMARY PURPOSE: Anti-aircraft
  • SECONDARY PURPOSE: Anti-missile/defensive
  • RANGE: 2400 m
  • DAMAGE: 1D10x10 M.D. for a short burst, 2D10 for a long burst and 4D10 for a maximum burst per attack.
  • RATE OF FIRE: 8 short, 4 long or 2 maximum bursts per melee.
  • PAYLOAD: Effectively Unlimited.


4. HEAVY PLASMA GUN TURRET:

Mounted on the upper left of the front of the Gjagravan Va, opposite the large particle cannon, is a plasma gun turret. The turret is capable of firing in a 30º vertical arc and a 180º horizontal arc. This weapon is tremendously powerful against slow or unmoving targets. It is designed to assist the Gjagravan Va in creating entrance into hardened structures to allow ground troops access to their insides.

  • PRIMARY PURPOSE: Anti-mecha
  • SECONDARY PURPOSE: Anti-structure
  • RANGE: 800 m
  • DAMAGE: 3D10x10 M.D.
  • PAYLOAD: Effectively Unlimited.


5. SMOKE DISCHARGERS:

Mounted on the upper section of the forelegs are 6 smoke dischargers. Each discharger contains two cartridges. The smoke is extremely effective in masking the Gjagravan Va from visual and thermo scans. Radar is largely ineffective at ground level, but any residual effectiveness is further obliterated by the use of the smoke. One discharge of smoke will fill an area roughly 200 m³.

  • PRIMARY PURPOSE: Concealment
  • SECONDARY PURPOSE: Defense from aircraft/missiles
  • RANGE: can be fired up to 250 m.
  • PAYLOAD: 12 cartidges.
  • DURATION: The smoke cloud will usually dissipate after 30 seconds (2 melee rounds.)


6. HAND TO HAND COMBAT:

If necessary, the Gjagravan Va can engage in melee combat rather than use its arsenal of weapons. The Gjagravan Va is extremely agile, though its lack of hands and arms prevents it from doing some of the more typical hand to hand combat moves. It is extremely effective at kicks, jump kicks, leap attacks, rolling with impacts, etc. with devastating consequences to its opponents.


DAMAGE:

  • Restrained Kick/Push: 2D6 M.D.
  • Full Strength Kick: 1D4x10 M.D.
  • Kick with rear legs: 3D4x10 M.D. (counts as two attacks)
  • Leap Kick: 4D6x10 M.D.
  • Body Flip/Throw: 3D6 M.D. (-5 on the strike roll. Extremely difficult without hands.)
  • Body Block/Tackle: 4D6 M.D. (more like a ram…)
  • Stomp: 1D10x10 M.D. (only effective against small objects) Note that for some objects, they will be instantly destroyed.

COMBAT BONUSES FOR GJAGRAVAN VA TRAINING:

BASIC GJAGRAVAN VA COMBAT TRAINING

Basic training for non-pilot military personnel. Both pilots receive full attack actions per melee.

  • 1 attack per melee (plus those of the pilot). Add one additional action/attack at levels three, nine, and fifteen.
  • +1 initiative
  • +1 to strike.
  • +0 to parry
  • +1 to dodge
  • Leap Dodge Modifier (applied to the regular dodge bonus): -5.
  • +1 to roll with a punch or fall with an impact, reducing damage by half.
  • Critical strike same as pilot's hand-to-hand.
  • Body block/tackle/ram - 4D6 M.D. plus a 50% chance of knocking an opponent down, causing him to lose initiative and one attack that melee round.


ADVANCED GJAGRAVAN VA COMBAT TRAINING

Advanced training for military pilots and mecha specialists. Both pilots receive full attack actions per melee.

  • 2 attacks per melee (plus those of the pilot). Add one additional action/attack at levels three, six, nine, and twelve.
  • +2 on initiative
  • +3 to strike
  • +1 to parry
  • +3 to dodge
  • Leap Dodge Modifier (applied to the regular dodge bonus): -5.
  • +3 to roll with a punch or fall with an impact, reducing damage by half.
  • Critical strike same as pilot's hand-to-hand.
  • Body block/tackle/ram - 4D6 M.D. plus a 50% chance of knocking an opponent down, causing him to loose initiative and one attack that melee round.
